Faceting

Faceting is the process of creating facets/small multiples which are charts that show the same measure(s) across various values of one or two variables for easier comparison.

To perform faceting, do the following:

1. Select one categorical/ordinal attribute

2. Create as many sets as the number of values

3. Create one plot for each value

Faceting can be applied to any graph!

It is particularly useful when there are too many categories for them to fit in a single graph.
